In celebration of this historical event I chose to portray President Obama from a perspective that directly reflects the significance of his destiny to becoming the 44th president of North America. I wish to honor my heroic ancestors whose names we know, and those we don't know, but who played a significant role in 'passing the baton' of black pride and black history. To those who set the stage, who endured the suffering so that one day....in my lifetime...a direct descendant of african slaves who built the White House...would sit in the oval office and be called:
